CAMeRA PhD Matthijs Pontier is one of the winners of PRIMA 2009 Student Scholarship Program

‘Rethinking the value of Journalism in the Digital Age’ – a new PhD project within CAMeRA supervised by Prof.Dr. Irene Costera Meijer.

The Dutch “Stimuleringsfonds” has officially confirmed to co-finance a PhD-research project within CAMeRA’s “Reinventing Journalism in the Digital Age” project. The interdisciplinary research project will focus on participatory journalism and is a cooperation between the VU University (Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Social Sciences), CAMeRA and Hogeschool Windesheim. Narrative fact and fiction

Professor Peter Vorderer delivered a keynote address at the workshop ‘Narrative fact and fiction – Patterns of narrative construction in media stories and differential effects’ which was held between 3 and 5 April.

The workshop was hosted by the Narrative Network and the University of Vienna. Professor Peter Vorderer spoke on the topic ‘Narratives for entertainment?’.

Johan Hoorn takes part in the evaluation of the Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP) 2009-2015
On January 20, 2009, the directors of various research institutes in the Netherlands were invited by the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW), National Science Organization (NWO), and the Union of Dutch Universities (VSNU) to discuss the new Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP) 2009-2015. SEP is important to CAMeRA because it is the guideline for international research visitations.
